Shahab Lutfi Harmoozi
Shahab earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Boston
University, USA. And an MBA from Cass Business School in the United Kingdom.
Shahab has taken important managerial positions in the banking sector, real estate, project management, construction and several years in the family field of business.
Ali Humaid Al Owais
Having been thrust into high profile roles from an early age, he is no stronger to leadership and heavy responsibilities. While still a student, he was appointed Chairman of Al Owais Group following his father’s death. He also serves as Chairman and Vice Chairman of several companies in the food and refreshment industry.
Salah Ibrahim Sharaf
A widely-traveled professional, he has worked in the shipping field in Germany, Hong Kong and the UAE with a special emphasis on Logistics and Transportation. He is a Board Member of the UAE Shipping Association. In addition, he has held top level positions as Director General and Board Member of Sharaf Group.
Yagub Bin Eisa Bin Nasser Alserkal
A holder of a Master of Science degree in Administrative Studies from Boston University, among other qualifications, he has served with distinction in the business arena. This culminated in him being honored with the Sheikh Rashid Academic Excellence Award. He also serves as President, CEO and Managing Director of various companies.
Meitha Al Hashemi
Meitha is an ardent banker with over 21 years of experience in the financial industry. She is a skilled strategist who transforms strategic plans into workable solutions and benchmarks performance against key targets & goals. Her current position is Chief Risk officer at Emirates Islamic where she is responsible to setup and manage a robust risk governance framework. Prior to Emirates Islamic, she was the Chief Credit Officer at Emirates NBD.Along with her responsibilities she was also involved in critical project like Emirates Bank International & National Bank of Dubai merger and Acquisition of BNP Paribas Egypt business by Emirates NBD. She is a permanent member of several Senior management committees spanning all critical areas of the bank where her wisdom is been looked upon for good governance. Meitha’s core focus is on minimizing the overall impact to the business in terms of Financial, regulatory and reputational. Meitha is a board member at ENBD Securities and Emirates Islamic Financial brokerage where she is involved in developing strategies and taking key business decisions. Her professional qualifications include a dual Bachelor’s Degree in business management and Computer science from Switzerland.
Mr Mohammed Sharaf was appointed Group CEO of DP World when the global port operator was formed in 2005 with the integration of the domestic and international arms of the Dubai Ports.
Mr Sharaf has more than two decades of experience in the transport and logistics
business. He began his shipping career working at Holland Hook terminal in the
Port of New York/New Jersey.
Mr Sharaf joined Dubai Ports Authority (DPA) in 1992 and rose rapidly through the organization holding a number of senior positions at the Ports of Dubai including Commercial Director and Deputy Managing Director, playing a central role in the extraordinary development of Dubai’s container terminals at Jebel Ali and Port Rashid, which combined have become a top ten global terminal facility.
In 2001, he became the Managing Director of the newly established Dubai Ports
International (DPI), the international ports management arm of Dubai Ports. In this position he oversaw the successful application of Dubai’s port management model to its first international operations at the terminals of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia),Constanta (Romania) and Vizag (India).
Mr Sharaf managed a major international growth strategy that included the
successful acquisition of CSX WT in 2004 and of the P&O Group in 2006. Followed
by acquisition of Jafza un 2014. Today, DP World is the fourth largest port operator in the world, with a portfolio of more than 77 marine terminals across six continents, including new developments underway in India, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Mr Sharaf lead a multinational team of 36,000 people.
Mr Sharaf holds a Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona,Tucson, USA.
Mr Sharaf awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from the College of
Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Eller College of Management during the
154th Commencement ceremony on Friday May 11, 2018.
